May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

National Mental Health Awareness Month (May), Children's Mental Health Awareness Week (May 5-11) and National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day (May 9) are upon us and Magellan and its partners have joined forces once again to educate people about mental health and reduce social stigma through the One in Four campaign. Visit www.OneinFour.info to learn more!

Health, Hope Recovery—Our Journey Continues

Integrated Health Home

Integrated Health Home (IHH) integrates mental and physical health care for the 14,000 Medicaid-eligible individuals in the central Arizona behavioral health system who are challenged with serious mental illness. IHH enhances the quality and length of life for people with SMI, who on average die 32 years younger than their peers not challenged with mental illness. More than 1,000 people have already participated in IHH through four integration sites in Maricopa County. Several more integration sites will open in 2013.

Governance Board

Magellan is firmly committed to building a RBHA for central Arizona that is community-driven--a RBHA that is focused on recovery and resiliency and is accountable for superior program outcomes. To deliver on that promise, Magellan has established a 12-member Magellan of Arizona Governance Board to give community stakeholders a true voice and shared decision-making in shaping the vision of the central Arizona behavioral health system.
